You are more likely to get your creative juices flowing when you take a walk than when you sit on your butt. A recent study published by the American Psychological Association found that college students who walked instead of sitting gave more creative answers on creative thinking tests.

And it wasn’t just the movement or being outdoors. Indoors or outdoors, the walking students’ were better at thinking of alternative uses for common objects and coming up with original analogies to capture complex ideas than students who were pushed in a wheelchair or seated at a desk.
